Socks Proxy
You can check a socks proxy server with Advanced Network Monitor.
You need to enter the following parameters:
Proxy Server: IP address of the proxy server.
Proxy Port: Port of the proxy server. The default TCP/IP port for the is port 1080.
Proxy kind: You may specify the following kinds of proxy: Socks5 or Socks4.
If the proxy server requires authentication you need to check the "Server requires authentication" option and specify your user name and password.
The program tries to connect to a TCP port of the remote server through the proxy server. If a connection is established then the program tries to do a handshake. If "Server requires authentication" option is checked the program tries to logon to the proxy server. If all the steps are completed successfully the server is marked as "Success" else - as "Error".
