Alerts

After problems are found on the monitored servers Advanced Network Monitor first tries to correct the problems itself. If Advanced Network Monitor cannot correct the problems it immediately notifies the Administrator about the problem by sound, e-mail or a network messaging service with Alerts.

You can create one or more alerts for each server. To do this click on the Add Alert button.

In the Alert Properties window you need to enter the Alert Name, Alarm Type and alert description into the Alert Text field.
You can use macros to replace it with the information about monitoring server inside the alert message and some alert-specific fields.

You can select the following alarm types:
  • Send WinPopup message;
  • Show Message;
  • Play Sound;
  • Speak alert
  • Send email;
  • Write to Event Log;
  • Restart Service;
  • Restart computer;
  • Execute VBScript/Jscript;
  • Execute ODBC/BDE SQL Query;
  • Execute external application;
  • Write To Text file;
