LAN Servers Wizard

You can scan your Local Area Network (LAN) or any other IP range and create a monitoring check for all the servers found with the help of the LAN Servers Wizard. Click on the LAN Servers Wizard command from the Server menu to open the Wizard.

Specify desired IP address range, server timeout (in milliseconds) and ports, that you want to scan. Click on the Add Port button to add another port.

Click Next to start scanning.

The second page shows the scanning progress. First, the ANM tries to ping all the computers within a selected IP addresses range. At the second pass ANM tries to connect to all alive computers on all selected ports.

The LAN Servers Wizard uses multi-thread technology to make scanning faster.

The LAN Servers Wizard will switch to the last page after the scan is completed

Here you can uncheck the found ports that you do not want to monitor and set server creation options:
  • Check Make Ping parent server for each host to create additional Ping server as a parent for all servers for each host computer. In other words, ANM will check Ping for this host server before checking any other server of this host.
  • Select desired server types in Set server type to box. ANM will create TCP/IP servers for all ports found if you select all to TCP/IP or it will try to create a server check type depending on a fond port if you will select the Port-dependent types value.
  • Uncheck Create servers in Paused state to check all created servers immediately after creation. You can pause and unpause servers at any time by using the Pause command from the Server menu.
