The Parts Of Advanced Smartcheck

Advanced SmartCheck is made up of two parts; the Administrator’s Component and the Client’s Component.The Advanced SmartCheck’s Client Component can be launched at all network computers using the same script as the user’s login. Once this is done, it collects the needed information including the S.M.A.R.T attributes of the computer. Other information that it collects include:

  • The vendor of the drive
  • The size of the hard disk (in Gigabytes and Megabytes)
  • The model of the hard disk
  • The firmware version of the hard disk
  • The day the S.M.A.R.T monitoring of Advanced SmartCheck was initiated
  • The last check date of the drive by Advanced SmartCheck
  • The date for the next T.E.C (Threshold Exceed Condition) for the drive

Advanced SmartCheck’s Administrator Component compiles all the S.M.A.R.T attributes into a built-in database and works out the T.E.C dates (if one or a few of the S.M.A.R.T attributes of the drives has dangerous ruin) for each of the S.M.A.R.T attributes of the individual drives.The drives with awfully critical attributes would be sent to the Administrator through emails at specified day’s intervals.
